In search for new experiences, Alzate travels to Ecuador, where he resides for almost two years.

There, a new source for his work, the brightness of the fishes, of which fresh of fisherman at sunrise which were depicted by him.

One of Alzate’s many talents was cooking, so he dedicated part of this trip to the practice of gastronomy with fresh seafood. He developed this interest to his final days, and he was well known among friends and family for his good cooking.
